Administrative Office / Professional Development Center
The agency has woefully outgrown the present office space. The development of the new Center will allow NHR to continue and expand its efforts in workplace development and further facilitate our mission to serve people with developmental disabilities.
Project Description :
In conjunction with the administrative offices, the Professional Development and Support Center is designed to facilitate increased education for our growing workforce and that of ourmany sister agencies We will build a highly-trained dirsct support workforce using classroom facilities and IT enhancement at the Center.
Economic development is based on increasing the capacity of the workforce. In addition, the mission to serve people with disabilities in the local communities is possible only because there exists a growing and qualified workforce.
Funding Needed:
The estimated cost for a facility of 18,000 sq. ft. with parking for 100 vehicles is $2.5M.
Plans Include:
• New Administrative Office and Professional Development and Support Center to replace NHR’s current headquarters.
• Technologically advanced training and educational facilities that will address NHR’s growing needs plus growth experienced by sister agencies.
• Collaboration is not only important for the development of staff skills and the advancement of professional careers, it has become necessary to pool resources due to diminished funding for administrative support.
