Dear Friend of New Horizons,
For over thirty– five years NHR has been providing valuable services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.
The agency woefully outgrew our training and office space in Poughkeepsie, NY and in early 2008 relocated to Pleasant Valley, NY. As services expand so does the need for personnel. A key component of this is the training and education of the direct care support professionals so vital to the delivery of top quality services. NHR has distinguished itself nationally for developing a credentialing program for direct support staff.
The development of our new Training & Administration Center will allow NHR to continue and expand its efforts in workforce development and further facilitate our mission to serve people with developmental disabilities. As we embark on this very exciting phase in the agency’s history, we ask you to consider a donation to move New Horizons to the next level of innovative technology, creative programming and, most importantly, consumer care.
