Alicia Smith and Sade Rowley Graduate from Executive Leadership Program
Congratulations to NHR’s Sade Rowley (Relief Services Coordinator) and Alicia Smith (Chief Program Officer) on their recent graduation from the 2025 Executive Leadership Program offered by the Chamber Foundation of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce! They join Ricky Fareira (NHR’s Director of Program Services) who is a graduate of the 2024 program.
According to the Chamber Foundation, “the Executive Leadership Program is a comprehensive, hands-on program dedicated to developing extraordinary leaders of the future. Each session is carefully crafted with a blend of lectures, panel discussions, peer to peer tabletop exercises and specific reading requirements that enable participants to apply concepts learned to real-life business challenges. Ideal candidates are mid to upper-level managers of both for profit and nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, sole proprietors and small business owners, as well as key employees who are being developed by their employers for future senior leadership positions.”
The program is organized into five modules scheduled between January and May 2024. These sessions covered a set of interrelated topics that are critical to the success of executives in organizations of all kinds, including large and small for-profit companies, governmental agencies, healthcare, and not-for-profit organizations. Each module was led by executives with many years of senior-level, real-world experience. Sessions employed a variety of tools and activities to engage participants, including reading assignments, presentations, individual and group exercises, panel discussions, and, in the case of the Executive Communication module, recording and individual coaching.

NHR’s Ada Drive IRA Open Now!
Since 2022, NHR has been working with OPWDD to develop a new home on Ada Drive in Wappingers Falls for eight young men who have graduated from residential schools. That hard work has come to fruition on June 25th as we began welcoming the young men to their new home at NHR. These gentlemen will also be attending NHR’s day habilitation program at West Road.
With the opening of Ada Drive, NHR will be providing residential supports at 30 Supervised IRAs (with 24/7 support), 4 of which are apartments. In addition, we have 1 ICF (with 24/7 support) and 13 Supportive IRAs (with less than 24/7 support) in Kingston, New Paltz, Pleasant Valley and Poughkeepsie.
